The DataModes POINT OF SALE module is designed to handle the particular needs of the retail environment. The module enables the computer to function as a cash register, allowing a cash drawer and a ticket printer to be used. A variety of sales transactions can be handled through user defined transaction codes including cash, charge, and credit card sales. A daily register close out report can be printed to balance the cash drawer and report daily sales. Integrates with the Accounts Receivable, Inventory Control, Invoice Processing, and General Ledger modules.

- Updates inventory levels automatically at the time of sale to insure accuracy of inventory quantities and to notify the operator of out-of-stock situations.
- Operates in a true multi-user environment.
- Reports balances for the cash drawer at the end of each day summarizing receipts by transaction code, sales tax, and overage/shortages.
- Gives credit for exchange items automatically (i.e., core exchange parts) during entry, if the item is designated as having an exchange item.
- On hand quantity can be viewed during ticket entry.
- Automatically notifies operators of out of stock conditions.
- Uses 40 or 80 column ticket printer.
- Automatically prints sales ticket at end of transaction and/or batch prints.
- Provides a pop-up window for inventory item selection.
- Determines prices automatically from customers TELEDEX record and can be manually adjusted.
- Provides discounts entered by line item or given overall to the ticket subtotal.
- Allows note field for credit card number or check number.
